2024 Beads of Courage Delivered to UMD Children’s Hospital

Today I delivered 19 handcrafted Beads of Courage (BoC) boxes to the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital in Baltimore. 

The Child Life coordinator was happy to receive them for the children who are there to receive cardiac treatments, but who don’t have special boxes to store their Beads of Courage at this time. Below is a photo of the Child Life coordinator and me next to the mosaic heart at the hospital entrance with a few of the boxes.  Below are also photos of the BoC boxes created by guild members for this arts-in-medicine program.  I’ll send some in a separate email.
