  1. Speaker Consent Form
  2. Demonstration Guide Lines

  4. State your name
  5. Say what it is and why you made it
  6. Is it an original or did you follow a plan , was it modified
  7. Describe key features without getting into minute details
  8. Talk about 1 or 2 challenges encountered in making item
  9. How did you finish it
  10. Ask for questions
  11. Limit time to  8 to 10 minutes
  12. If you have a tablet you can make a very simple book stand type holder.  And set it on a small table or shelf.
  13. Laptop: set on a table or fixed object
  14. It is best if you can stand next to the object and point to it to illustrate a feature while describing or explaining how it was made
  15. Talk loudly as the microphone may be further away than usual.

June 2016 Monthly Meeting and Hands On Class

The Monthly Meeting will be Saturday, 4 June 2016 at Bain Center as usual. The demonstrator this month will be Jeff Headley – Fluting and Reeding, and is accompanied by a Mini Class following the regular meeting.  Please see or contact Joel LaFerriere to sign up for the additional class. March 2016 Monthly Meeting at Bain Center

The March regular monthly meeting was held at Bain Center as usual on Saturday, 5 March. There is a change to the regular schedule as follows: 9AM to 10 AM – Social and set up 10 to 10:45 – Business Meeting, member 50/50, door prizes. 10:45 to 11 – break and demonstration set up 11 to 12PM – Demonstration = Steve Latta, Inlay Demonstration 12 to 12:30 – Lunch Break 12:30 to 2 PM – Demonstration continued. February 2016 Monthly Meeting at Bain Center

The February regular monthly meeting was held at Bain Center as usual on Saturday, 6 February, from 9AM to 12PM. There was an overflow crowd requiring additional chairs to be brought in so everyone could get a seat. Tim Jackson demonstrated how to hand carve a walking stick.  You won’t want to miss Tim’s demonstration.  He has never shown anyone his techniques.
