GONE: Trend Airshield (free but needs work)

Legacy HCWG Posted on May 5th 2024 by John HalperMay 25th 2024

A Trend Airshield Pro full faceshield. Like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002Q0Y5IU/ref=dp_iou_view_item?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got tired of trend batteries so I rewired it to use rechargeable AA. The current batteries sat idle for a couple years and won’t hold more than a minute of charge.

It also needs a new adjustable head strap as the current one snapped. Not sure how difficult that is to find/replace.

I used this for about a year, fixed the batteries then it sat for a couple of years. Free to someone that wants a bit of a project.

Help set up my new shop at Savage Mill

Legacy HCWG Posted on May 3rd 2024 by GTorrey WebmasterMay 3rd 2024

Fellow Woodworkers and HCWG members! I sure could use some help setting up my new shop in the historic Savage Mill Carding building. Everything is already in the space, it’s just disorganized so all of the heavy lifting is already done. I need to assemble some shelving and organize. For your help I could pay $30 (I know it’s not much) for 4 hours or maybe I could provide some hands on high end box making OTJ training. I currently teach a High End Box making class at the famous Marc Adams School of Woodworking. I’ve made box’s for the John Wick movie franchise and am the box maker for Cabot Guns, Colt Collectors Association and the Firearms Engravers Guild of America. My IG page is @sapfinefurniture.

May 9, 10 and 11. 10:00am-5:00pm

Send me an email at sapfinefurniture@outlook.com.

Thanks in advance!

Help Wanted: Porter-Cable 15 gauge finish nailer

Legacy HCWG Posted on Apr 29th 2024 by GTorrey WebmasterMay 2nd 2024

MY P-C 250 B has stopped and I need help with next step.  It is probably 30 years old but has been used rather infrequently in last 10 years or so.  ut it has always been oiled every time it was used.  I was using 2 inch nails and I had about 10-15 nails in the carriage and i added a new sleeve.  Both set of nails were the same P-C 15 gauge finish nails.  The gun jammed at the point between the 2 sections of nails.  I pulled out the jammed nail, but the gun will not fire.  No air is being released and no air leaks.  I am not sure what to take apart and have a spring pop out.  Any help would be appreciated
